Trimline, an interior outfitter, was enlisted to oversee the in-progress transformation of the jazz clubs on three Oasis-class ships into smoke-free casinos for Royal Caribbean International. Allure of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas, and Harmony of the Seas have all finished their refurbishments.
Jazz clubs have been replaced by smoke-free casinos on Deck 4 of Royal Caribbean’s three oldest Oasis-class ships.
As the demand for smoke-free gaming spaces has increased, the “Jazz on 4” clubs, which were placed forward in each ship near the main show lounge, have been phased out.
Expansion of the Royal Caribbean’s Casinos
Each jazz club was dismantled and converted into a casino by “ride on squads,” who did the work without taking the ships into dry dock or otherwise taking them out of commission. It took around two weeks to convert each individual ship.
Trimline sent a skilled team of demolition and removal workers, joiners, electricians, and decorators to finish the job, working closely with the ship’s data, casino, and IT professionals to minimize disruptions to passengers and staff. The crew was able to get the job done efficiently and with minimal disruption to passengers because to their meticulous planning.
