Casino operator Bally’s Corporation launched a campaign to gain more support for a proposed Virginia casino. The company submitted a proposal to build a new casino east of Chippenham Parkway and north of Powhite Parkway.
Also, The City of Richmond will decide on the proposal in June. The city government needs to select a location and a casino operator before a referendum can take place. Once voters approved the request, the casino project can start.
The proposed casino will have an area of 1.6 square meters. Its other amenities include a 250-room hotel and a sportsbook.

Bally’s launched the Bally’s for RVA initiative to show how the proposed casino resort would contribute to the City of Richmond. It includes the initial payment of $100 million to the city. Also, the casino project would generate 4,300 construction jobs.

NFL Hall of Famer Darrell Green is also a minority stake owner of the proposed casino. Another minority owner is Warren Thompson. Also, his food and facilities management business will take a vital role in the casino resort.
